About Kingston Pizza

Sam Sciabarrasi, born in Leominster, Massachusetts is the youngest of seven children.  Sam has been an entrepreneur ever since he graduated high school; owning a Laundromat in New Hampshire before moving to Rhode Island in 1983. A third generation Italian-American, Sam grew up around a kitchen and developed a deep appreciation for food.  So, it was only natural that in 1984, at the young age of 23, Sam opened his first Kingston Pizza restaurant in Kingston, RI located at the top of the University of Rhode Island’s campus.  The restaurant features pizzas, grinders, calzones, salads, Italian dinners and more.

At the heart of the organization is the owner Sam Sciabarrasi’s warm enthusiastic personality. Sam sponsors many sports teams, assists in campus activities and donates to numerous charities and organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, RI Blood Drive, Special Olympics, Boy Scouts and the Walk for Life. We are constantly creating new and innovative menu items that truly set Kingston Pizza apart from the competition.  Sam is of fond of luxury vehicles, so many interesting items are named after sports cars such as the Ferrari Testerosa, The Beemer and the 911.  Sam also has an amazing talent for inventing delicious flavor combinations such as the My Wife’s pizza, the Cattleman grinder and the Z-28.
